PROFESSIONAL & ORGANISATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Potential Members should carefully read and feel comfortable with the
ECSA Spirit” before considering Membership.
Exceptionally, spontaneous applications can be accepted.

ECSA distinguishes between two main membership pathways, reflecting the different roles and responsibilities within the security ecosystem.
    • Individual and Corporate Membership categories are intended
for professionals and organisations with an internal responsibility for
      security, resilience, or risk governance.

Membership is on a personal basis (with reference to the Employing
Organization) and is not transferable.
It is on invitation only, and limited to professional practitioners in
good standing

Within this membership pathway, two membership profiles apply:
Regular and Associate Membership

      • Regular Membership is intended for professionals with
management-level responsibilities for security or resilience,
employed by a public or private organisation.
Typical profiles include Chief Security Officers, security or
resilience managers, and senior practitioners with direct
        responsibility for security governance.
      • Associate Membership is intended for professionals and
organisations with a non-commercial link to corporate security
or resilience. This includes, inter alia, universities, academic or research
        institutions, professional associations, and similar
organisations contributing to the security ecosystem without
        offering commercial security solutions.
      • Industry Membership categories are intended for professional providers of security-related equipment, products, systems, or services as part of their core business activities, active at national or international level. This includes organisations operating, for example, in the fields of:
      • Security equipment and technologies
      • Integrated security systems
      • Risk, resilience, and security services
      • Related professional solutions supporting corporate and institutional security

All applications are reviewed and subject to formal approval.
